so i got my uni filter in the other day put it on and was not impressed to say the least. so after some research ive found a term called reversion that was unbeknownst to me before. long story short i believe ive got some reversion issues going on here. tried a few different things and here i will post what ive went through. 1. put unifilter directly on carb = lots of bogging at low throttle, adjusted fuel mix both ways to no avail. 2.took the four holed cap from original intake box and stuff it into unifilter, attach to carb = little less bogging but still not up to par with airbox perf. 3. took rubber intake "s" tube off original airbox attatched to unifilter = more bogging, just flat out piss poor perf. 4. put 4 holed cap into intake duct = same problems
now the whole time i was trying these things i was moving the air fuel mix around and did not really see any significant results. so as you can tell im having a bit of an issue and need some guidance. is there something i can do to free up the intake with out over doing it like it is now. my next step was to buy a few large diameter washers with a few different sized id holes through them and sticking them inside the intake duct to cut down on velocity inside the intake and see what works. only other option i see is fabricating an intake out of pvc that is a somewhat smaller diameter tube. any knowledge bombs you have for me would be greatly greatly appreciated. thanks

Very simple the UNI filter is giving you to much AIR and not enough fuel. When you put on a Free Flow Filter, you normally have to UP-JET to get more fuel because now you have a LOT of air coming in. You could tape up part of the Air Filter to cut down some of the air. You could also try Lowering the Clip on the Diaphgram Needle to RAISE the Needle to feed it more gas.
Or Up-Jet the carb. Lefty

Or, upjet the carb as should be done with a unifilter!

If the current jet is not marked yu have no way of knowing for certain. You can try to gauge it with various wire or precision drill bits, but you just can't tell. Stock jets can be anywhere between 65 and 75.
Assuming there are no other mods it should be somewhere between 85 an 90. Often these filters have a package deal with an 88 jet. Only trial-and-error will get it right though, no two engines are exactly alike.
