| | Help.... Frame Brace « Thread Started on Aug 5, 2012, 5:10am » | |
I saw a thread on SD on a bolt on frame brace, but can no longer locate it. Anyone know where the orginal post is and can you post a link for it? I'd like to read it again.
Got any tips on doing the frame brace? Some pictures of other installs would really help out.
Help an ole' Dawg out....

Have never seen that thread, but I know of people using a 1/4" steal pipe to brace the Triple Tree. They weld the pipe a few inches down from where their knees sit on the front, and run diagonally to the cross member in front of the valve cover. Keeps the front from flexing more. I blieve thats the only bracing that Ive seen, that actually makes a difference. Hope that helps! Keep us posted on the mods!

Thanks Dawgs for the replies. I had the thread bookmarked before my computer crashed and now nowhere to be found. It was a bolt on brace complete with brackets for this type scooter specfic.![[image] [image]](http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt105/scooterking/Black-150-Scooter-750-1.jpg) The frame brace is my next project and I know others have done this and was looking for any hints/tips they might have. ie shaving/cutting plastic body parts and attachment placement. I know that most use the hole left when the helmet hook is removed. I'll continue searching or just wing it.
